Applications are now open for admission into Babcock University for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates can apply for 4, 5, or 6-year degree programmes, depending on the course. The Post UTME form costs N2,000.

General Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at the GCE/SSCE/NECO or approved equivalent examinations, obtained at not more than two sittings. However, for Medicine and Surgery, only one sitting is allowed.
  • Candidates awaiting 2025 WAEC/NECO SSCE results will be required to present acceptable qualifications before matriculation. All candidates seeking 100 Level admission must sit for the current JAMB UTME, while Direct Entry applicants must apply through JAMB.
  • Transfer applicants must present a JAMB admission letter, transcript from their former institution, and attestation letters.

Available Colleges, Departments and Admission Requirements

School of Education and Humanities

  • History and International Studies: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, History/Government, and two other subjects.
  • English Studies / French: 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and two other subjects. For French, a credit in French may replace Literature.
  • Christian Religious Studies: 5 credits in English Language, CRK, and any three other subjects. At least a pass in Mathematics is required.
  • Education (Business, Economics, Administration, Guidance, English): 5 credits based on specific combinations of English, Mathematics, Social Science subjects, or Literature in English. Direct Entry allowed for NCE, OND, HND holders.
  • Music: 5 credits including English Language and four other subjects. Music and Mathematics are an advantage. Direct Entry for NCE, OND, or HND holders in Music.

School of Law and Security Studies

Law (LLB): 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics, and any two Social Science subjects. Direct Entry requires relevant degree or A-levels.

School of Management Sciences

Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other relevant subjects. Direct Entry accepted for OND/HND/professional qualifications. Internship and professional certification opportunities available for Accounting students.

Information Resources Management: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, and any three subjects in Social or Pure Sciences.

Veronica Adeleke School of Social Sciences

Economics: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics, and two Social Science subjects.

Mass Communication: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects.

Political Science / Public Administration / Int’l Law & Diplomacy: 5 credits including English, Government or History, Mathematics, and two other Social Science subjects.

Social Work: 5 credits including English Language, Biology/Human Science, and three other Social Science or Arts subjects. Direct Entry allowed with relevant diplomas or degrees.

School of Science and Technology

Agriculture & Industrial Technology (Agric Economics, Agronomy, Animal Science): 5 credits including English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, and Economics/Home Economics. Direct Entry allowed for ND/HND holders.

Basic Sciences (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics with Electronics): 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Microbiology: 5 credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

School of Computing and Engineering Sciences

Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology: 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and another Science subject.

Benjamin S. Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences

Medicine (MBBS): 5 credits in one sitting in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Nutrition and Dietetics: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and Food & Nutrition. Direct Entry allowed for OND holders.

School of Public and Allied Health

Public Health: 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and one other Science or Social Science subject.

Medical Laboratory Science: 5 credits (not more than 2 sittings) in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Direct Entry accepted for A-level holders, second class graduates in related fields, or Medical Lab Technicians.

School of Nursing Science

Nursing Science: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (at not more than two sittings). Direct Entry into 200 Level is available for Registered Nurses (RN) with SSCE credit passes and other university requirements.
