The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has commenced registration for its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates who made UNILORIN their first choice in the 2025 UTME or applied through Direct Entry are invited to register for the pre-admission screening.
Registration starts at 12:01 am on Monday, 28th July 2025, and ends by 12:00 am on Sunday, 10th August 2025.
Important Admission Notes
- Wrong entries automatically disqualify a candidate.
- Admission will be based on the following aggregate:
- UTME/DE score (50%)
- Post-UTME screening score (30%)
- Five relevant O’Level grades (20%)
- All candidates must upload their O’Level and/or A’Level results (as applicable) on JAMB CAPS. Candidates awaiting results should indicate ‘AR’.
- For course changes, candidates must update changes via JAMB CAPS only. The UNILORIN portal will be updated based on JAMB records. No changes will be accepted on the university portal after registration closes.
Only one sitting of O’Level results will be accepted for MB;BS, Pharmacy, Optometry & Vision Science, and Computer Engineering.
Registration Requirements
- A personal and active email address and mobile number
- A valid JAMB registration number
- A registration fee of ₦2,000 payable via Remita (ATM or card-enabled platform)
UNILORIN Post-UTME/DE 2025 Step-by-Step Registration Guide
1. Visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/ or go to https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click “Undergraduate Portal.”
2. From the admission menu, click “Pre-admission Screening Registration.”
3. Fill in your JAMB Registration Number, Surname, and other required details.
4. Click “Get Details” to retrieve your UTME/DE information.
5. Provide your O’Level or A’Level grades, or type/select ‘AR’ if awaiting results.
6. Click on “Make Payment” to be directed to the Remita payment platform.
7. Enter your ATM card details (type, number, expiry date, CVV, and PIN) and proceed to pay ₦2,000.
8. After a successful payment, click “Admission Login” on the undergraduate portal.
9. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname, then click “Login.”
10. Click “Next Step” to complete your profile and details.
11. Click “Submit” when all information is correct.
Important Reminders
- Do not refresh your browser while making payment to avoid multiple deductions.
- If a payment issue occurs, re-enter your JAMB Registration Number on the registration page to resolve it.
- Ensure that the O’Level results you upload on the UNILORIN portal match the ones uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
- Print your screening slip and confirm all entries are accurate. If not, re-enter the correct information before the portal closes.

Direct Entry Candidates
All steps in the UTME registration process apply to DE applicants. Additionally:
- Select your highest academic qualification from the dropdown.
- Click “Save” and confirm with “OK” when prompted.
Final Warning
Any error in result entry will be treated as deliberate falsification and will lead to disqualification at any point during the admission process.
