A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing his frustration following his attendance at his child’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting.
The man, in a viral video circulating on social media, said the experience left him shocked, noting that what used to be a serious gathering of parents now feels completely different.
According to him, many of the people present at the meeting appeared too young to be parents, which made him reflect on how much times have changed.

In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @updateboyx, the man expressed concern over what he described as the changing nature of PTA meetings.
He stated that many of the parents he met had tattoos and piercings, which surprised him and made him feel out of place during the gathering.
“PTA meeting has turned into a useless thing now. 2002 children have given birth and started acting as parents,” he said.
The man explained that sitting among people he still sees as “children” now acting as full parents felt strange to him.

The man also mentioned that one particular parent stood out during the meeting due to his appearance and behavior.
According to him, the parent had diamond-studded teeth and frequently smiled during the meeting, seemingly to show off the dental decoration.
“Another one even did diamond teeth. Any small thing, he’ll start forcing a smile just to show his teeth. He doesn’t have anything to say, he just wants to show his teeth,” he added.
