The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced an extension for the hostel accommodation application for the 2025/2026 academic session. The application will now close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Following the deadline, the hostel balloting exercise is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Only 200 to 500 level students who have completed course registration for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session are eligible
• Students must be within the regular duration of their academic programmes
Application Process:
• Eligible students are required to apply for hostel accommodation via their student portals within the approved timeline
• Course registration must be completed before applying for bed spaces
Allocation Method:
• Bed spaces will be allocated through a random balloting system among eligible applicants once applications close
Important Dates to Note:
• Application deadline: 11:59 p.m., Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Hostel balloting: Friday, November 28, 2025
• Payment deadline for allocated spaces: Friday, December 5, 2025
• Movement into hostels: Saturday, December 6, 2025
Please Note:
• Students currently residing in El-Kannemi Hall 2, Gbajabiamila, Women Society and other similar off-campus hostels are not eligible for this balloting exercise
• The Student Affairs Division has records of students in these hostels and any student found violating this directive will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board.
